Greetings,
Just started listening to your podcasts and am following the LNT series with interest.
I’ve discussed LNT priciples with my boys and we’re doing pretty well, except for the issue of TP. Packing that out is a deal breaker with my boys. Most boys tell me they’d rather not go if that’s part of the package. To be honest, I don’t do it either. I wonder about the personal hygiene aspects of carrying it, even if double bagged.
I’m going to try to do it on my next trek and then see what I can recommend to my boys.
Concering the breakdown of solid waste in soil, some of the BP books I read recommend using a stick to mix it with soil after burial. In that case, wouldn’t breakdown occur faster?
